SUFFERINGS OF CHRIST.
B He dies, the heavens in mourning stood;
He rises and appears a God:
Behold the Lord ascending high,
No more to bleed, no more to die.
4 Hence and forever from my heart
I bid my doubts and fears depart,
And to those hands my soul resign,
Which bear credentials so divine.

Love and Mercy.
1 I I ARK, the voice of love and mercy
1 A Sounds aloud from Calvary—
See, it rends the rocks asunder,
Shakes the earth, and veils the sky !
It is finished, it is finished,
Hear the dying Saviour cry.
2 It is finished, O what pleasure
Do these charming words afford I
Heavenly blessings without measure,
Flow to us from Christ the Lord;
It is finished, it is finished,
Saints the dying words record.
3 Finished all the types and shadows
Of the ceremonial law—
Finished all that God had promised ;
Death and hell no more shall awe:
It is finished, it is finished,
Sainis, from hence your comforts draw
4 Happy souls, approach the t ible,
Taste the soul-reviving food ;
Nothing half so sweet and pleasant
As the Saviour’s flesh and blood.
