On another occasion she had reason to request an audience with the governor of
Georgia. After her visit with the governor, the purpose of her visit was successful. This
was unheard of in her day.

Nathan mentioned earlier, when the last children were about grown up and he was
50 years old , decided to get married. Nancy raised Holy Hell with him. Told him he
wasn't old enough to know anything about getting married. She also lamented the fact
that he was deserting her. Nathan got married, but Nancy never did forgive him.

Nancy died in 1919 at the home of her youngest son, Walter Ichabod Fouraker of
Wellborn, Florida. She is buried at Bethel Cemetery^ near Fargo, Georgia.
