CHRISTIAN EXERCISES.
                   5 Saviour, if of Zion’s city
                       I through grace a member am,
                     Let the world deride or pity,
                       I will glory in thy name ;
                     Fading is the worldling’s pleasure,
                       All his boasted pomp and show ;
                     Solid joys and lasting treasure
                       None but Zion’s children know.

                                   God invisible.
                   1  I ORD, we are blind, we mortals, blind;
                     L* We can’t behold thy bright abode ;
                     Oh ! ’tis beyond a creature’s mind,
                       To glance a thought half way to God.
                   2 Infinite leagues beyond the sky,
                       The great Eternal reigns alone,
                     Where neither wings nor souls can fly,
                       Nor angels climb the topless throne.
                   3 The Lord of glory builds his seat,
                       Of gems incomparably bright,
                     And lays beneath his sacred feet,
                       Substantial beams of gloomy night.
                   4 Yet, glorious Lord, thy gracious eyes,
                       Look through and cheer us from above,
                     Beyond our praise thy grandeur lies,
                       Yet we adore, and yet we love.

                      Redemption and protection from spiritual enemies.
                   1 A RISE, my soul my joyful powers
                         And triumph in my God ;
