CHRISTIAN EXERCISES.
                     Thou art the tower of my defence,
                       The refuge where I hide.
                   4 Thou givest me the lot
                       Of those that fear thy name ;
                     If endless life be their reward,
                       I shall possess the same.

                                  peace I give unto you.
                    1 ft A Y Saviour, let me hear thy voice
                      1V1 Pronounce the words of peace,
                      And all my warmest powers shall join
                        To celebrate thy grace.
                    2 With gentle smiles call me thy child,
                        And speak my sins forgiven;
                      The accents mild shall charm mine ear,
                        All like the harps of heaven.
                    3 Cheerful where’er thy hand shall lead,
                        The darkest path I’ll tread,
                      Cheerful I’ll quit these mortal shores,
                        And mingle with the dead.
                    •4 When dreadful sin is done away,
                        No other fears we know ;
                      That hand that scatters pardons down,
                        Shall crowns of life bestow.

                                Chooeing the better part.
                    1 DESET with snares on every hand,
                       LJ In life’s uncertain path I stand;
                      Saviour divine, diffuse thy light,
                      To guide my doubtful footsteps right.
                    2 Engage this roving, treacherous heart,
                      To fix on Mary’s better part;
