Information from the family of the Georgia Fourakers:
Zilphia and Nancy Fouraker with their uncle or father came over from England.
Zilphia and Nancy came as indentured servants. The man who paid their passage to
Charleston, SC was a Captain James Walker. To work off their indenture, the girls cared
for Walker's bed ridden mother.
While the girls worked in the Walker home, the Captain was responsible for both
girls becoming pregnant. Both sisters had baby boys which they kept and raised.
Zilphia's son is named Nathan and Nancy's son is Ichabod. The boys surname was
Fouraker. They were cousins as well as half brothers.
