INVITATIONS OF THE GOSPEL.
              Redemption by his blood
                Through all the lands proclaim.
                        The year of jubilee, &c.
            3 Ye slaves of sin and hell,
                Your liberty receive,
              And safe in Jesus dwell,
                And blest in Jesus live.
                        The year of jubilee, &c.
            4  Ye hapless debtors know
                The sovereign grace of heaven ;
              Though sums immense ye owe,
                A free discharge is given.
                        The year of jubilee, &c.
            5  The gospel trumpet hear,
                The news of pard’ning grace ;
              Ye happy souls draw near,
                Behold your Saviour’s face.
                        The year of jubilee, &c.
            6 Jesus, our great High Priest,
                Has full atonement made;
              Ye weary spirits, rest,
                Ye mourning souls be glad.
                        The year of jubilee, &c.

                    Sinners teamed of impending ruin.
            1 U/HEN pity prompts me to look round
               W Upon my fellow clay,
              See men reject the gospel’s sound,
                Good God! what shall I say ?
            2 My bowels yearn for dying men,
              Doomed to eternal woe ;
                Fain would I speak, but ’tis in vain,
                If God will not speak too.
