BAPTISM.
2 Thus was his sacred body laid
Beneath the yielding wave,
Thus was his sacred body raised
Out of the liquid grave.
3 Lord, we thy precepts would obey,
In thy own footsteps tread,
Would die, be buried, rise with thee,
Our ever living head.

Itaptism.
1 f_''OME, Holy Spirit, Dove Divine,
On these baptismal waters shine ;
O teach our hearts in highest strain,
To praise the Lamb for sinner’s slain.
2 We love thy name, we love thy laws,
We joyfully embrace thy cause ;
We love thy cross, the shame, the pain,
O Tamb of God for sinners slain.
3 We plunge beneath the mystic flood,
Or plunge us in thy cleansing blood ;
We die to sin, and seek a grave
With thee, beneath the yielding wave.
A And as we rise with thee to live,
O let the holy spirit give
The sealing unction from above,
The breath of life, the fire of love.

1 f">OMF,, all ye sons of grace, and view
Your bleeding Saviour’s love to you ;
Behold him sink with heavy woes,
And give his life to save his foes.
