NEVER AGAIN !
It was time for our Jr. Sr. Prom and Class Night. Ethel had designed a dress for me to
have made. I asked Mrs. Ella Sellers, Mrs. Janie Bullucks sister that did sewing if she
would make me a dress for Class Night. She said yes, get the material and show her how
to make it. I brought her the material and the design that Ethel had drawn for me. Mrs.
Sellers started the dress. I went by and tried the top, everything going fine. Mrs. Sellers
was to call me when to come back to try the other parts on. She didn't call and didn't call
and I was getting worried as time was running out. Finally she called me to come try the
dress on. The dress fit and I thought it was beautiful. Mrs. Sellers said to m e, "Abbie I
told you that I'd make the dress for you. I've finished the dress, it took me three times
longer to make it. Janie had to help me make all those little ruffles and figure out how to
put them in the skirt, (all without a pattern). The dress is finished but don't you ever let
Ethel draw you another dress for me to make for you."
