Yes, Geneva has grown and changed. Roots of many of the first families still
remain in the town. The people have not changed. They have the same small town spirit
of lending a helping hand when a crisis occurs in a family or in the town. Geneva is still
the best place to live on the face of this earth !

THE WEDDING GIFTS

When Lamar and I married, Grandpa and Grandma Beck came to our house to see
us. They gave us a large beautiful wind up striking clock. They had always given their
children a clock when they married. The clock still sits on our mantel. Grandma gave me
a glass rolling pen and said to me, "you won't ever hit Lamar but one time with this rolling
pen"
